So ... should I?

I've been looking at the numbers, and as long as I don't fail uni; hence keep getting my student loan, I can buy one. £133.33 per month, over 12 months.

Only bad thing is that it's from Evans. :? My LBS stock Cannondales, but I don't know if they'll do a 12 month 0% APR like Evans. :(

But, aye, should I get it?

Yep, just buy it from Evans and take it to your LBS to get it set up/ serviced/ Anything else you wouldn't trust Evans to do

Evans price match - so try price matching, and then asking for the interest free....

Hmm, suppose I could buy from Evans and have the LBS take a look. Just seems a bit of a faff though. :?

Evans and my LBS are both doing it for the same price, so I'll need to pop in on Monday and have a wee chat regarding any finance plans they offer. If none then I'll just have to visit Evans. :( It's miles away as well!

Must remember to get a new BB on Monday too! Been neglecting it for a while.

Why can't you get it from Evans, and make sure it's been set up OK, yourself?

As Red says learn to do it yourself .

Whats your SPECIFIC issues with the guys at Evans ? No better no worse than the guys at Alpine Bikes ( i presume its Alpine Bikes you refer to as your LBS staying in Castlemik and the only other Cannondale stockists ) .

I had a very similar choiice as you with the same shops a few years ago and bought from Evans . Setup perfectly and I know how to do it myself as well .

Evans will get you the size you want into the shop set it up and let you test ride it .

P.S. Just throwing a curved ball but if your at Evans in Braehead wander up to Halfords / Bikehut who stock the Boardman range ........ Just another option .

Suppose I could get it from Evans and just give it a quick going over myself. Just ... I'm useless when it comes to bottom brackets, and knowing my luck that'd be the one thing that was messed up. :?

I once got a MTB from Evans and they routed the cables wrong along the top tube - all twisted together. Other than that, not got a problem with them. Except, that they're a bit far away, so I can't just pop in. Where as with Alpine, I can just pop in after uni.

Honestly, I'd just prefer Alpine over Evans because it's a lot easier to get to and you sometimes here bad things about Evans.

Comparing geometries of the CAAD 9 and my current bike, I don't know whether to go with a 54 or 56. My Trek is a 56, but looking at this I'm not sure what to get. Suppose I'd need to see ...
