CO2 cartridges

Instead of attaching a pump to my bike I was going to get one of these that I can put in my saddle bag, After all what's the point of having puncture repair kit without something to re-inflate the tyre.
Can anyone recommend any.

i have one of these: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/Innovations_Ultraflate_Plus_Pump/5360007672/
But carry mini pump too, as you never know...
Also carry Park Tools mini patches, they are small, very quick, and very good. Carry them and a spare tube."Encyclopaedia is a fetish for very small bicycles"0 -
I've got a Bontrager Air Rush.
Can confirm the c02 works great, haven't had to rely on the pump yet so have no idea what pressure it's capable of. Should test it really.0 -
I use one of these http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&source ... 8Tt7YNLq5A. But ALWAYS take a mini pump as back up.0

I use a planet x mini pump (100 psi max) that takes CO2 cartridges too. A great little mini pump which is small enough to carry in my pocket.

I use an SKS Piccolo mini pump which fits easily in my saddle bag and although it shouldn't work does, really well.
As for the CO2 inflators the Lezyne twist inflators get good reviews. I have ordered one myself so hope they are as good as they seem.
The lezyne patches are also excellent for fixing punctures quickly.0 -

Whatever CO2 pump you decide to get, should still carry a hand pump as a backup. The catridges are typically one shot and if you mess up the inflation, you're stranded unless you have another catridge or a manual pump.0 -
Buy the cartridges in bulk if you can... the are much cheaper that way... my box will probably last 2 years...Cervelo Soloist

However, if like me you are a total numpty and stab holes in inner tubes with tyre levers, you may want to think about carrying a hand pump as a backup. Whatever jonginge has is excellent.0 -

I've got one of those too, does the job.
As others have said, backup pumps are still advisable though.0 -
I have the planet x mini pump/co2 inflator, but a note of caution!
I used it yesterday, inflated the tyre a treat really chuffed with it, however punctures are like buses and of course 15 miles later had another flat!! went to use the inlator with my second tube, screwed in and then backed off the cartridge and nothing, backed off a little more and the co2 escaped out of the sides of the threads.
Looked at the threaded bit that holds the cartridge and the rubber seal had totally perished/come apart and was therefore not providing the seal for it to work, as it inflated the previous tube I can only assume that the cold temperature from the gas saw off the rubber seal!!
Anyway luckily for me one of the group had a decent size pump so I did not have to pump 17000 strokes to get a decent pressure
Have emailed planet x today to see if it is possible to get a new seal.STOP!......... Carry on!
