First Hello to all, I'm new to mountain biking and this forum.
I do commute everyday, and I mean everyday, rain, snow or shine. :D

Any ways, my question is about the Orange crush and its chainset.
It seems that some have a double and some a triple set on the front anyone enlighten me as to why?

Thanks in advance for any replies. 8)

The double with a bash guard helps protect the ring from logs and rocks, and are generally used on terrains where the big ring is not needed.

Triple chainsets are often used on more XC oriented steeds.

the 2010 orange crush has a triple chainset where as the previous modle had a double. The 2010 is supposed to be more xc orientated, still looks bike a bad ass mofo to me tho 8)

    Thanks for the replies.
Is the crush suitable for xc, seems more all mountain :?
Yes it is one good looking bike and looks like a fun ride.
Not sure about the snot green colour of the new model though.

Sod the Crush. Up your budget and get a Whyte 905.

Now that is a seriously fun ride.

When I was looking for a hardtail I narrowed it down to the 905 and the Crush. Fortunately I was able to test ride them both on the trails.

Yes the Crush was fun but for the extra money the 905 gave me a whole load more bike for the cash but also injected a whole heap of confidence that I didn't even realise I was missing.

Although try and find last year's 905 as it's better specced and slightly cheaper.

I looked at them both and then decided to forget them both and get the GT aggressor elite from halfords. Better spec than them both for the money IMO.
