Are Look pedals any good? Always stuck to shimano in the past but a bloke in a bike shop told me that Look are better - spread the pressure well or something. Any truth to it?

Ok, I have look 247's and shimano 105 spd-sl. The only difference is the shimano cleat and the 3 corners on them, No other discernible difference. Not much help, I know, but you weren't getting a lot of replies and you asked really nicely. :)

OK - no difference. Buying some tomorrow (Saturday), so I'll stick to Shimano.
    Thanks.

I've got ancient Look 396s, they're perfectly satisfactory apart from the first half hour when you're in town. They're no good for quick traffic light getaways. I imagine shimano is the same.

Much better than Shimano cos they taste of plastic...

I thought the only alternative to Shimano was ALWAYS Campag?

Consequently, I have no idea what this thread means.
