Planet-X "Model C" wheelset experiences?

I received an e-mail today from Planet-X, which included a sale promotion for their alloy wheelsets, which are all reduced to £99...
Given my ~90Kg weight, the Model Cs would presumeably be the way forward, from their range at least.
What is the verdict on these Model Cs?
Are there any other wheelsets that should be considered as good purchases for less than £150, given how much bike bit prices have increased in the last 18 months or so?

Aren't they just Model Bs with a highes spoke count?0

I think they have different spokes to the models Bs - a bit stronger. A57s may be better...'Happiness serves hardly any other purpose than to make unhappiness possible' Marcel Proust.0

For the price, they're OK. They are not especially light but on the other hand, they are very durable and reasonably stiff.
For the budget of 150 pounds, I don't think you can go wrong with Model Cs. Sure there are better wheels for big guys available (e.g. Fulcrum Racing 3 or 1) but their price tags are not going to please you.
I have model Cs and FR1s and I'm going to use both. My Model Cs (25mm Schwalbe Stelvios mounted on them) are dedicated for rides where some rough roads are to be expected.0 -
Thanks for the input so far. I'm seriously tempted to buy a pair of Cs and just keep them ready to put on the F5C at some stage.
I don't know the weight of the original Alex 270 wheelset, but I suspect they would be considerably heavier than the ~1750g Cs.
If only I did not have the possibility of a £400 car repair bill looming over me right now, I would jump at these!================

I weighed 90-95kg most of last year and im a big rider and sprinter and i had model B's.. Lighter than the model c's and they never faulted in any way, after a years use and 6000 miles they where still going strong (Until i sold my bike with them on)
Great wheels and i'd happily buy again and they easily took my weight over all terrains.0 -
+1 for the planet-x C's I have them on my cross bike and will buy B's for my road next month, although initially they look a bit plain jane they roll perfectly and after a year haven't gone out of true or flat spotted like my much move expensive Mavic's.Rule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.
Rule #9 // If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.
Rule #12 // The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.
Rule #42 // A bike race shall never be preceded with a swim and/or followed by a run.0 -
After all the hassle i have had this week i am thinking about just getting another Pair of Model B purely for summer/dry day and keep my current Model B as my rain/winter hoops.0
