Hi,

I'm up for this - but I'm assuming that there are more applicants than there are places available? If anyone knows I'd love to know.

Cheers,
Andy

    Pretty sure its oversubscribed...

Definitely very hard, rode it 4 times back in the day (80s/90s), last climb up Penyghent Lane is evil. First climb up Simon Fell is unbelievably steep, you pull yourself with the fence which runs up it. Middle climb of Whernside is just long and hard.

Also you couldnt switch back onto a road bike for the road sections, which makes those road sections a bit of a slog on the cross tyres or tubs.

All in all, its brilliant, and like all these things, you forget the pain and come back for more next year. :)
