Old chainring on new chain

Tried to replace my middle chainring today when I fitted the new chain, but the bolts are seized so for the time being I've left it as is. I'd say it's only slightly worn, can only tell really when I compare it to the new ring, a few of the teeth are just starting to get the "shark's fin" shape. Is there any harm in running my new chain on it for a few days (maybe a couple of weeks) until I can get to the LBS?
