The right wing in America only seems to recognize majority rule as legitimate when they are in the majority. And there is no doubt a racial component this time. Very odd stuff indeed.0

We were in Montana, and stopped for food at "German" village.
My mates started doing the Fawlty Towers, "Don't mention the war" stuff.
I was kacking it, knowing these guy's don't mess about.
Lots of curtain twitching when we left. Spooky...0 -
We have some real special folks over here. I doubt that there is anything too ridiculous for at least someone in the US to believe.0

I've been there, my ex-wife was an american. And as evil and twisted and selfish as she was I couldn't tar a nation with my experiences with her. It seems just like anywhere else, there are all parts of the bell curve of people represented. From the a*sheads to the near saints, the issue is that with so high a population the far ends are so much more visible, the news also will only show the a*shead side as that sells.
Personally nothing against it, there is a cultural difference I will admit, and some places downright scare me, but then again I have been in places in the UK that I would never want to go near again too."This area left purposefully blank"
Sign hung on my head everyday till noon.

I enjoyed my time in the US - met lots of very nice people. but you can't get away from the fact that there are a lot of very dangerous nutjobs out there - and unlike here - they seem to be capable of organising, arming up, raising cash, and get taken seriously.0

It is, however, a very young society formed in a forge of violent revolution, with a completely new form government and a distrust of authorityand strong libertarian and emphesis on self reliance (frontier mindset) because of it... you've gotta expect some kinks along the way!"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

We are strange by and large, no question about it. But as someone said above, there is a bell curve. It's the folks at the ends who get the most attention.0

That's cos it's the folks at the ends that you have to watch very carefully!0
