New Nomad Vs Tracer VP??

Hi
I'm thinking about a new do-it-all frame - something which really does have to be able to cope with all day XC rides and also occasional DH days.
I quite like the idea of the adjustable travel on the Tracer VP, so that I can taughten it up for trail centre use etc, and slacken it for DH.
However, the new Nomad seems to be "the bike to have" to do everything on yet I'm worried it'll make xc stuff feel dull and boring.
Can anyone tell me how the Tracer VP stacks up against the Nomad in terms of down-hill performance?
thanks

There is only one way - and that is to test them.0

I haven't ridden the Nomad but my Tracer with double barrel rear shock is by far the most versatile bike I have ridden. Not the lightest but still climbs well. Downhill though it is phenomenally fast, gives you so much confidence that you end up going faster than you should!
You are welcome to try mine if you are in the Bristol area0 -
I'd take that offer up! Worth a tank of petrol of spending 1800 quid on a frame!0

I demo'd a tracer at Cannock a couple of weeks back- hadn't planned it, saw the stands and thought I'd have a go. I didn't think much of it at first, then realised I hadn't ridden a full susser in a while and was trying to ride it like a hardtail. Once I got my head on the right way I was impressed how well it went round the tight twisty bits.
they've got some other demos, see here- http://www.premierdemoseries.com/
try the turner flux as well, even if you don't buy it you'll have fun!Rock Lobster 853, Trek 1200 and a very old, tired and loved Apollo Javelin.0
