Hardtail bikes £700 and under

Hi folks,

I live in the north of scotland (a stones throw from fort william and the cairngorms) and have suddenly realised its a crime not to be making use of all the tracks and trails.

So since im new to all this I was hoping for some advice on which are the best bikes on the market for my budget?

I'm 6'3 and 15stone so need something that can take some punishment!
