Thinking about buying a 2004 foes the fly for £800, swapping the bits from my (small) marin quake across to the (medium) foes frame and vice versa and selling the quake...
Is this a silly idea? Quake only gets used for downhilling these days. I'm also 5ft 8"

spec of the foes:
Van RC Shock, 2008 Marz 66's, saints cranks & BB, avid code front and juicy 7 rear. Funn full on bar & stem, wheels - halo somethings.

spec of quake:
07 dhx 5 air shock, 09 RS totem coil, holzfeller cranks, hope V2 brakes, truativ bars, thomson stem, wheels - ex721 rear and ex325 on hope pro II hubs...

I doubt the shock will be the same length, although I might be wrong. Seatpost may well not be the same size either and check that the rear uses the same axle spacing.

As to whether it's a good idea or not I don't really know, just looking at it from a feasability angle.
