Lake District cycle routes

Hi guys been a while since I been on but as usual your help is required.
The guys at work are looking to do a charity event which will incorporate a day of riding, now I am a road junkie but I am not averse to getting the old MTB out for a few miles.
So the plan is for around 30 people, of all cycling levels, to ride around 50 miles in Lake District area. I have been told they would like to include one hard off road climb and a mixture of on and off road terrain.
They did a coast to coast (East to West) ride 2 years ago.
We will also be rowing across Lake Windermere one of the days so this would be the ideal area to start/ finish the ride.
If any one knows of a good website or a route incorporating the above I would appreciate your input.
