it's a mountain bike. Are you going to be cycling to work on it?

We need to know what sort of riding you will be doing.
You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.

Why wouldn't he use it to cycle to work too? I used to use my HT to ride to work on and plenty of others do.

Got my Specialized Rockhopper last June on the scheme best thing ever, you havent got the big initial outlay of the bike as it comes straight out of your wages before its psend on other things

Ive never ridden mine to work would love to but its too far !!

Have heard that the Govt might be scrapping this scheme due to high level of abuse and its costing them money so get in while you can

Well the plan was to use it for work in the summer :) on road and old mineral lines . And the odd weekend cycling on local sustran tracks .
  • I use mine everyday for my commute to work and on the weekends and i am hoping the scheme is still in place in 6 months time when i'm due another.

    Hi

I think you can get a better bike for your money to be honest. But it depends on the fit and the amount your looking to spend and also what you will be using it for as per all the other threads!

Also, depending on the size you want it could be that an 09 bike might be better. A friend of mine recently got this (link below) for £600 on the C2W scheme. Again it depends on your scheme and where you can buy from. The company i work for allows us to have a bike from anywhere, they just write a cheque for the supplier.
