Ultremos R Recall

Can anyone advise if all R tires were subject to a recall. I have been told by an ebay seller that there was a 2nd gen Ultremo that were not subject to the recall. True?

On a separate note but related who still has not received their replacement tires as yet?

AFAIK there was only one recall for the Ultremos.

I bought some from an eBay seller (probably the same one) as I had the same reply. I've had mine about a year now and no problems.

Apparently the problem comes within the first 100 miles or so.

Email Schwalbe and speak to the guy there. You should get them replaced no problem, FOC. All Ultremos will be replaced as from what I read, you don't know which batch your Ultremos are from and also the problem could occur at any time, not just within x miles. I guess Scwalbe didn't want to take a chance on the litigation side.

We had some Ultremos and Schwalbe didn't ask for batch numbers or anything like that - they were just replaced, no questions asked.

I have to say the way Schwalbe dealt with this was incredible. Massive kudos to them.

I had some Ultremos, but when i contacted them they did ask for photos of the damaged tyre and a photo of the serial number that can be found on the inside of the tyre. They sent me Two new Schwalbe Durano tyres and inner tubes and then they sent Two of the new Ultremo R1s so i cannot complain.
