Shimano Duel Pull front deraileur help

Good afternoon all,
Wondering if i can pick your brains. I am currently installing a Shimano 102 Duel Pull front deraileur. The cable is to be routed from above. I can't figure out when the cable needs to go and be bolted to the deraileur. It has a triangle shaped piece of plastic with a groove in it. Looks to me that it is where the cable should go if routed from below. Maybe i am missing something really silly.
I wasn't supplied with any documentation when i bought this and i can't seam to find any searching the web.
Any ideas.
