Hello,

I'm a Bangor university student, who is just (shamefully) getting a mountain bike. I've been a keen rider for a while but have just sorted my accommodation for next year so now know that i can keep a bike up here for the foreseeable future.

So, mountain biking within riding distance from Betws y Coed train station. Tell me about it :)

I will be riding on a single speed.

I'm in Llandudno but in need of someone to drag me out to the trails - I'll quite happily meet you in betws for a trip round the marin - pm me and we can sort something out.

Hi Keith, have replied in your other post. http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtop ... t=12684850

I take it you plan on getting the train to Betws and then riding? There are plenty of routes up in Betws, you can join the marin trail in betws rather than the official start which is in llanrwst, at least that way you finish with a pint in betws!

If you don't want to travel there are some cracking natural routes in the hills along the coast all the way along to Conwy taking in some stunning scenery and views, happy to show you around up there.

Are you used to riding singlespeed? The riding around the North Wales hills isnt really suited to singlespeed, some naughty climbs!
