CX-Ray spokes vs AC spokes

I have a set of American Classic wheels built with AC black spokes at 1410g a pair.
Apparently built with CX-Ray spokes the weight goes down to 1300g.

Can this be possible just changing the spokes?

If so then instead of having new wheels I am seriously considering having my wheels rebuilt using the CX-Ray's, keeping my rims, front 58g hub, and just upgrading to the Extrlight SR 157g rear hub.
Gotta be cheaper than the £769 I was looking at for the IRD Niobium/extralite combo I was opting for from wheelsmith.co.uk.

Decided against the extralite rear hub.
Instead I'll wait until after I come back from my holiday 1st week in April and see if the American Classic Magnesium wheels are back in stock and go for a pair of them built with CX Ray spokes. They use the same hubs my current wheels have but with Ceramic bearings.
I won't rule out the option of rebuilding my current wheels with CX Ray spokes though as that'll cost me about £200 but save me 110g.
I do love the look of the AC Mag wheels though...they'll suit my Saxo Bank SL3 real nice. 8)

cx rays are supposed to be the lightest and one of the most aero spokes with one of the best fatigue resistance. if you can afford them there are no drawbacks.

They are going on my new wheels when they eventually arrive here in the UK. :D
