At the mo im running a scott voltage FR30 and couldn't be happier :D . But im wondering about taking DH more serious and thinking about upgraging the forks to a pair of boxxers or 888's and turing them down to 180' travel. But am terrified about damaging the frame cause i've heard many a tale of frames with forks that are too big and well... people carrying their frame down in bits. Can my voltage take triple crown forks without damage?

sounds like you really need the Gambler.

the Voltage is the FR Single crown bike in the scot range and they have a DH frame for long travel forks.

Unlike in the old days werethey had the same frame that did both jobs.

but there is no reason why your current set up wont be fine.
