If I'm totally honest with myself I want to go downhills, not up them. I also want to spend some time down at my local 4X track,, and I have seen some 4X specific full suss frames with around 4 inches of travel.

I know the Voltage rear shock can be dialled to around 4 inches but the stock fork is a 7 inch monster.

My question is will the Voltage frame be good at the nimbleness of a 4X track and winding trails as good as it is on coping with the big stuff of Freeriding?

The reason I'm focusing on the Voltage is because a friend works in my LBS and can do me a deal on the £1700 price tag.

Thankyou for reading.
If it aint broke, dont fix it. Wait, there's 1 exception...unless it can be pimped up in anyway.

  • yes, on one thread somewhere there is a set of voltages setup for different disciplines.

Amazingly versatile little bike, i want one! IIRC with the short rear shock, and then some travel adjust forks, you'd be able to simply move the shock mounting and wind out the fork to go from 4x to freeride.

Bear in mind, it really wont pedal uphill well at all, a bit of an uplift/pushing bike.
