Damn that was enjoyable, getting slicker every year chaps, good to see you take on points raised.

Out of interest did anyone come across a swiss guy called Roland on a cannondale supersix, was riding with him for a bit and he had 2 punctures on Kidds hill, i know he was out of innertubes and then i lost him on the decent towards Groombridge, hope you got round alright mate!!

@ noclue: Yep, caught the "rather annoying" (read effing ridiculous  ) train replacement bus service from burgess hill to 3 bridges with him, really nice guy, nice bike too, he is on BR under the name BCSS (Black Canondale Super 6) if you want to get hold of him?? Couldn't believe his bad luck, added 1 hour to his time whilst he had to wait for mech to come as he'd used all his spare tubes

thought the event was run brilliantly yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed the testing, sometimes brutal, route. a bit cruel putting another steep grad after the feed zone after cobbs lane i thought!!! only thing that spoilt the day for us was the train situation and that's of course no way a bad reflection on the brilliant job SRS did.

5hrs 30mins yesterday for me, but no cramp and no walking so i'm happy :D

  • Must add my thanks for a fantasticly organised ride. I also punctured twice, once on the horrible descent early on with huge pot holes, then again about 20km later. Luckily for me my final inner tube held on till the end otherwise I was waiting for the mech as well.

Will be back next year for sure.

  • SRS EVENTS BURGESS HILL RUMBLE
    29th August

For those that rode the SRS Events Springtime Classic Cyclosportive in March the Burgess Hill RUMBLE Cyclosportive is on the 29th August and this event is run on the same course as the Springtime classic event.
The only difference is that The Rumble in August has an extend part at the top of the circuit to make the Classic ride even longer.
