I spotted that on the forecast this morning, I think it's supposed to die down a bit this evening. Prevailing south-westerlies are the downside of living in SW London.

    I hate the wind,

Yeah it felt like I was heading through a headwind this morning on the way from SE to central London. Knowing my luck it'll have turned against me again for the ride home

When I saw the title of the thread, the big kid in me thought "great....something about farts!" I'm quite dissapointed now.

This morning was sh*t, headwind and all but tonight was the reason I love cycling; no rain + tailwind = 8 mins off my normal time :D

Tailwind? I've heard of those - not sure I've ever experienced one. Had a bit of a harsh headwind on the way in through the rain this morning. This evening, less rain, big headwind. Knackering. Didn't help a colleague in York telling me that there was a Northerly when in Leeds it was a Westerly

If there is one lesson I have learned, the bigger the headwind in the morning, the even bigger the headwind on the way home

strangely enough, despite the wind blowing me sideways and backwards on both commutes, today was my fastest commute for a while.
I put it down to the weather getting milder.

I was glad my commuet in teh morning avoided it and on the way home on a fast downhill section I was crawling but luckily I avoided it for the last few miles.

    Good training though! :P
