AE forest xc tyres

As in the subject I am after some tyres for the BUCS mountain bike championship.
Of course I don'tt own a crystal ball and I haven't ridden there before so was wondering what tyres would be quick?
Currently have some Panaracer fire xc (wire bead) , some continental vapours and specialized fastracks all hanging around. Although the latter two pairs seem to have next to no grip unless it is complete summer.
I have been recommended kenda nevegal and bock 8 or maxxis larsen outback, what would be your suggestions?
Cheers

Michelin Mountain All-Terrain maybe
the rest of the guys on here would know a lot more about the panaracers than i would0 -
As conditions for this do not look likely to be that dry I would go for Nobby Nics, they're light and roll well, plus they work in mud.Now where's that "Get Out of Crash Free Card"0

There is a lot of loose sharp shale type surface in places in AE so make sure gyres you choose are reasonably tough
