Does anyone know where all those sealed caps and rubber tongue adapters that come with Shimano SP cable sets should be fitted?
I've got dozens of the little buggers and no clue where to fit them if at all.

At the end of outers where exposed cables will be. Chainstay and downtube. Are they not intended as some sort of crud seal?Neil

Where your cable outers stop at the adjusters on the down tube feed the cable through big hole first then push them over the end of the cable outer. Same at the end of the short bit of cable outer from your rear mech. Big end over cable outer with small end pointing away from the outerNeil
