How is everyone on this rather ill and washed out morning, grey as a squirrel here, and woke up in a foulish mood (doesn't happen often) and do not feel motivated in the least today.

Have to prepare a 2 page document (design it, layout of said document and insertion of copy from client) then send it off and await first round of edits.

Thats my day on the 'work side' and Ill have that done by 11:00. after that gawd knows...

What are the rest of you up to?

  • Morning all,

I fear my day may be spent defending myself against a decision that was made by “management” last year that has now been questioned by someone else.

Bert “Why the hell are you doing this?”
Me “Cos, Ernie said we should”
    Ernie “No I didn’t”
Me “Yes you did, here’s the e-mail”
Ernie “Well, that was last year, things have changed didn’t you know?”
Me “No, you never told me”
Ernie “Ah well, it should be obvious”
Me “Well, it‘s clearly bloody not”
Elmo “Right, Stuart, do a complete analysis and found out where this went wrong”
Me “Simple, Ernie’s a slopey shouldered lazy yes man who just likes travelling to China on company money”

I think I may actually shoot someone today. (Luckily I only have a foam dart gun at work)

  • I am heading off for a ride in about 5 mins (only half hour local loop jaunt) on the GT.

Finished work for today.... then am going to fix some lunch when I get back then devise a diet for myself, as the weight has crept back on.

Can't blame beer as I have not really drank much since NY.

Something I am eating is not agreeing with me and I think that I am taking on too many carbs without exercising enough to burn it off, so a reduction is in order.

Could it be that you need to do more riding, what with not wanting to get the Marin dirty?

  • Phone went (client) *just* before I was due to leave, dammit.

So have made changes to project and now am too lazy to go out in the rain, so lunch is on the cards.

Bails LOL: I still don't have my Sidis, and the plastic platforms that clip into the SPDs are in no way safe nor suitable for offroad riding. So until the shoes are back in stock (a lot cheaper where I have ordered them from) I ain't going offroad with the Marin.

I got an e-mail from myself at work, which was kind of a giveaway. Went into my account to change my password and all my e-mails from the last 6 weeks that were in my inbox have gone! Bastards!

You'd only have had to change the advert anyway - to increase the amount of miles it had covered

The extra couple of miles might ruin your chances of splitting it for the tyres too

Oh some wank about me insulting Colintrav. Not as if he doesn't deserve it - silly boy. :P

Speaking of which, did that guy reply to that advert last night?
  • Nope nothing back in the end, but as I mentioned. Haven't bothered checking back, will bang it up for sale in a few other places soon. :)

Should sell itself really, I should have stipulated that 'although' it's done 20 or so miles, it's in the condition of a new bike..... (you can see that from my photos, and everyone knows what a tart I am with my bikes....) Well, everyone here that is

    That courted controversy

bloody royal mail. why do they require signatures? parcel force just put it in the greenhouse like i tell them to. i could have been fitting my new brakes but now it has to wait till tommorow
  • Believe me, a signature is worth it, proves as a seller your stuff has been received. And you just need to make sure someone is in to take parcels (I take time off work if I have to) - I do know you are at school however ;)

As for leaving parcels in the greenhouse, that's not very safe in todays climate, I wouldn't trust anyone to leave items, also, it can get the postie in trouble.

Parcelforce are owned by RM and follow the same rules (or should do) i.e., they should leave a 'you were out card' as if they leave it somewhere and it gets pinched, heads would be on the line.

I do sympathise with not getting your component(s) to fettle with etc.....
