geographically yes, but culturally its somewhere off the A13.0 -
You're not wrong - I work near there.
The A1307 is also a very dangerous road, the section between Linton and Haverhill has had an endless series of fatalities.--

No kidding, I used to ride that road every day to work. There was a new collection of flowers for a fatality almost every week.
And yes, Haverhill is a massive dump!FCN: 8

I might take my bike back down when I go visit me mate in the summer, we went over towards the 'camps' and there seemed to be some good country roads out that way ??
is it worth it ?0 -
LOL, agree Haverhill is a s**t hole but its part of a good route on my motorbike runs.. Sudbury out to Bury st Edmunds, then to Haverhill and back round to Sudbury, nice roads.Cycling never gets any easier, you just go faster - Greg LeMond0

If you avoid Haverhill itself, the surrounding countryside is splendid. I generally pass to the East of the town via Sturmer.
I also avoid using the A1307; too many organ donors in tarted up saxos, fiestas and corsas for my liking.0
