Roll on the dryer weather

I know the feeling. I ordered some handbuilts in August and they eventually turned up on Thursday last week

Very nice. They look an awful lot like mine do! 8)

You finally get the tyre problem sorted?

    I hope so.
These are running valve core extensions, instead of valve extensions.
Alex has been superb throughout, though, so no complaints.
Just got to stick a cassette on the rear now...

Looks like you're taking the Lotus Series a bit serious

I doubt it. Not had the best opportunities for training, and last year I never made it to one race because of my work schedule.
They're probably a bad idea, as they may just make me a target

Need to learn how to change a tub, yet!

Ha, same for me, by the time my rota came around to give me a wednesday evening off the series was over

As for changing a tub I looked at the vid on Wheelsmith and as always the pros make it look far far easier than I imagine it will be!

I certainly wouldn't be trying to change one at the roadside!

If you can change a tyre, you can change a tub. Just take a preused spare to be safe, one that you got off with the tub tape (wouldn't bother with glue for the road).

No, not yet Ands... I've just bought a new project to play with, so the frame will wait a bit...

    Kewl!

I was toying with the idea of a Colnago with SR but I've just dropped a load of cash on some new hi fi kit instead...

I shouldn't have listened to it. God damn the hi fi snake oil shop owner!!

Derek doesn't do Zipps, so I got these elsewhere.

P1ssed off, 'cos I just rushed to put them in the bike (needless haste at this time off year), so forgot to weigh them.

As soon as it's dry enough, I'll be out on them, maybe tomorrow... I just need dry, not necessarily warm

I got my Zipps from the same place as Hopper (in fact I recommended them to him!).

Hopper - I'm riding/racing mine for the first time on March 20 - just over a month away. Saving 'em until then!

Going to use my new Mavic Open Pro Powertaps for my first race in 2 weeks to collect some racing data first.

Carbon - I bought a set of Zipps with Tune hubs from the same vendor before and they are indeed very nice. But these ones are even better!

Good to see your back in action again, your back must be good now.
Good luck with the race in March, I know it's important to you.
