Is this a new Boardman aero road frame?

Read the article on Chris riding the course for this year's National championships and wondered if he's testing a new aero road frame to add to the Boardman range from the accompanying photo?

He had tweeted a photograph of a concealed cable entry point from a new project frame recently and said he couldn't show anything more at that point.
With an aero down tube with concealed gear cables, aero seat tube and seat post could this be the new frame he was talking about.
Or is this one of his AiR TT frames with a road set up?
Either way, nice looking bike.

I think that the top tube looks a bit too sloping fo it to be a AiR TTNorfolk, who nicked all the hills?

Not an Air TT. Look at the seat tube junction...
It's the new road frame he tweeted about...0 -
Does the fact it has AiRT down one of the seatstays help at all
The head tube is too long for it to be the TT frame as well.0 -
It looks damn fine...0

Doesn't mean a thing, just a sticker. Look at the head tube, far longer than the TT bike.
Edit. Bu%%er you edited before I could correct you.Norfolk, who nicked all the hills?

I had thought the geometry looked to be sloping top tube myself and that the head tube seemed to be more road biased, compated to the very short AiR TT head tube length.
Also noticed the decal on the chain stay but couldn't quite make it out clearly enough to decide if it was a new model name for an aero road frame or if it was a bit of red herring while the frame was being tested.
Definitely a good looking bike and based on upgrades to the existing road models this year, we can probably guess tapering steerer and BB30 bottom bracket as well.
Must keep an eye on the Boardmanelite website !!!!0 -
He has been twittering about new developments and wind-tunnel testing recently, so my money's on it being a prototype aero road frame.
Or a re-sprayed Cervelo.
I do like it when they put the inside of the rear stays/fork in a different colour to the main body. Must remember that as an idea for the future.0 -
It did strike me as somewhat Cerveloesque as well.
No bad thing in my book, especially if it comes in at less than the S2!0 -
Quick visit to Boardmanelite.com (couldn't access the site from work computer earlier) confirms:
"The AiR/1 is the aerodynamic road frame from Boardman Elite.
Lightweight. Aero. Stiff.
Under development and testing"
I think we know what it looks like now - NICE!!!0 -
Although he has twittered today that it is an old prototype.....
...... can't wait to see finished product if that's the case.0 -

I would think they'll be looking at doing something with the seat-tube as well, along the lines of the Felt AR series. That basic aero shape in the photo is already a little outdated to be introduced as an "all new aero road frame" now, and I would've thought Boardman would want to be a bit more advanced than that.0 -
Worth keeping an eye on for me for my next purchase - if this makes it's way onto the next generation I'd be interested"I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0

I liked your style Aaron and agree that I thought his reply was tongue in cheek as well("we have quite a few of them lying around")
It looks remarkably well finished for a prototype to me - paint scheme detailing and model name on seat stay for example.
Looking forward to final details when it's formally launched regardless.0
