Has anybody tried this saddle? I find the Toupe a bit too hard but otherwise OK so I was wondering about the Romin.

I tried a 143mm test saddle for a week as I found the Toupe punishes my sit bones on longer rides. However, didn't really get on all that well with it. It is s-shaped, similar to the Fizik Aliante, as opposed to the relatively flat Toupe, but I don't think that really suits my behind. Despite the wider and longer cutout, I thought there was more pressure there. On reflection, I think it was too wide though (I'd been advised to try the 143mm, but I normally ride the 130mm toupe), so I've now got the 130mm version. I haven't had a chance to try it properly yet though as I only got it at the weekend. First impressions are a lot more positive though.
Your best bet is to get hold of a test saddle from a Specialized dealer if you have one nearby.

Just an update on this. The Romin has been a revelation for me. Super comfy saddle, but it pays to get the right width as the 143mm I tried previously felt like a totally different saddle.

Another one to consider is the Phenom SL which I bought for a bit more comfort than a Toupe. I think it's great - very happy with the choice. Mine weighs 205gms if that's a factor.
