+1 Lush looking bike IMO and you'd never see another......
Sora may be a bit extravagent though, maybe fix it up with some 2200 8)winter beast: http://i497.photobucket.com/albums/rr34 ... uff016.jpg

Really not a fan of the Dogma. Pretty heavy to say the least, and made by Giant not pinarello anyway.
Custom would be cool, but maybe just get measured up properly first, then see if anything stock fits you well anyway. Would be a bit silly to get a custom bike that's exactly the same as a stock on but just costs lots more.Racing for Fluid Fin Race Team in 2012 - www.fluidfin.co.uk0 -

Custom Viner's don't cost anymore than the 'off the peg' ones. And the Maxima is only available custom - there's no 'off the peg'Expertly coached by http://www.vitessecyclecoaching.co.uk/

Rapha just aren't in the same league.

Rapha Nappies. And you would need to order three years before conception presumably. The revolution will not be televised0 -
Custom Parlee with a nice subliminal paint job. Or a £60 back of the paper full susser and lots of cocaine.0

For me, it would be as much about the experience of getting measured up, choosing the parts as much as riding the thing. Even better if it involved a factory visit to meet the maker and shoot the breeze about bikes'n'stuff. If I was to spend that much I'd probably be thinking about a 'keeper' rather than getting into a weight-weenie arms race because in 12 months time your uber-bike could be old news - that in itself would incline me towards a small-scale builder rather than a 'marketing' company. My short-list would be something like a Colnago EPS with Super Record and Boras or a custom Time VXR - standard geometry doesn't fit or even a Cinelli XCR.
Can't believe in some folks choices - it would be like choosing between the Ferrari, Maserati, Mercedes garages and buying a Ford!Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0 -

I think that's unfair. Sacha White is one of the most respected framebuilders in the industry because of his extremely high level of workmanship. His frames are beautifully made to an astonishing level of finish.
He's certainly no slouch when it comes to self-publicity; but I don't see any "guff" on the website, which is limited – as far as I can see – to restrained copy about manufacturing techniques and tube sources. Compared to the usual nonsense about "ride quality", "compliance", "responsiveness" (and whatever other meaningless terms prevail in other manufacturers' descriptions of their bikes), I think Vanilla's site looks refreshingly straightforward. He can only make a limited number of frames a year, that carefully; and to announce the price of a frame that won't be made until 2015 may be foolhardy.0 -

I agree about dissing Sacha White by comparing him to Rapha - at least he makes his own product! If the 5 year plus waiting list is a bit of a chore, try Speedvagen - as close to 'stock' that Vanilla gets
