high adjuster screw not adjusting on deore front mech

well i noticed last time i rode the bike that the front mech did not shift propely. so i claned it of all the mud on sunday and i wanted to adjust it today but the high screw when the chain is on the biggest ring doesen't adjust the mech at all. you can turn it all you like but it won't budge.
what should i do?

What are you trying to achieve? If you unwind the screw, and there is not sufficient tension in the cable, it will not move out.
It sets the limit of movement.0 -
i'm trying to move the mech out abit when it's on the largest ring as the only way to move the chain up is by hand.0
