A PG990 cassette would look bling-tastic on my bike but they seem to have a reputation of being a bit 'soft' compared to fit-and-forget XT which last me about 9 months.

Just wondered if anybody has a PG990 on their bike and what you think about it?

Why would I care about 150g of bike weight, I just ate 400g of cookies while reading this?

ive spun a gear on the alloy spider, absolute garbage, xt leagues ahead.
  • I've run one for a few winter months, weekly riding and a few xc races, no problems. Maybe I should try harder.

I keep hearing the same thing too, but I`ve had one since about June -ish last year. Don`t seem to have had a problem with it - YET!!!
