So after much deliberation finally decided on a new Bianchi Infinito. Next comes the final decision on color - follow the crowd with Celeste or one of the other two options.
ps I won't be swayed by the vote (already decided on red) but curious what the bike buying public think.

Just out of interest, is it available in black as well? I always love seeing a black Bianchi with 'Bianchi' printed in Celeste, very handsome.0

some of the higher end models are available in Black but unfortunately not the Infinito0
-
Too bad, but it will no doubt look great whatever you choose. Red is not going to go out of fashion anytime soon!0

Celeste is the ONLY colour a Bianchi should come in!!!!!
Oh and make sure it's built up with campag and not that japanese fishing tackle stuff :twisted:Obsessed is a word used by the lazy to describe the dedicated!0 -
Spec would include Athena and Racing 3's0
-
mancunian - assume you're sourcing from Epic?
I'm strongly considering one too. What's your view on the geometry? I'd be using mine for sportives, sunday rides, maybe the odd cat 4 race if I get really fit. Do you think it's as good an all rounder as they suggest?
Oh, Celeste BTW!0 -
@Westerberg - I'm not getting it from Epic - basically the same spec and price but buying from local Bianchi store in Munich.
I have considered lots of others before reaching the decision on the Bianchi mainly driven by the same thoughts you are having - use for Sportives and longer rides as opposed to racing although I will be using it for Spint trialthlons this year - with a view to finishing rather than winning!
Others I considered were Willier Izoard and Pinarello FP3 though these are a more race oriented position - that is based on a short test ride (still got lots of snow here) and discussion with the dealers.
Not really answered your question I'm afraid but am hoping it is as good as the reviews in the long term.0 -
celeste is the only colour to get a bianchi in!
then again i am bias i guess as i do have such bike as my pride and joy!!!
oh with white saddle too!!2015 Specialized S-Works Tarmac - Ultegra Di2 (7.0kg)

Sounds cool.
Make sure you post a photo, I must admit I love Bianchi's!Obsessed is a word used by the lazy to describe the dedicated!0 -
Can't find a picture anywhere of the orange? Wouldn't mind seeing that!0

My son had an alum Bianchi in orange metallic. Might have been a Via Narone. Itwas absolutely stunning and it was quite common for complete strangers (cyclists and non-cyclists alike) to wander over and say "Wow, that is a pretty bicycle" or some such.
But, if it's a Bianchi it has to be Celeste. End of. And no silly stripes or overspray. Just Celeste.0 -
Having a fitting session done at Epic next week, if I do buy one it will be Red with Ultegra - sod the purists.
Not seen the Orange ones - Infinito is in Celeste, Blue and Red I thought ?
Currently trying to book a test ride on a the Wilier Izoard as that is still my fist choice (just) but until I ride both I will never know !0 -
Anything but the blue, it just doesn't do it for me.
Celeste is always good, the red one looks fantastic (I didn't think it would until I saw the pictures) but I voted orange, really think that would be a bit special (sorry Celeste fans).0 -
I bought the red Ultegra version last friday - looks brilliant and even better to ride!0

Epic don't do Wilier anymore - there are some other brands they've got in recently though so check the website. I'd have had a Bianchi if I'd fitted them.
BTW - Celeste Bianchis seem a bit 10 a penny down south so I'd not have a Celeste one there. Up here, few Bianchis to be seen at all so individuality in any colour
Wouldn't have Shimano on it thoughFaster than a tent.......0 -
Celeste ones seem to hold there value slightly better as far as i've seen.....winter beast: http://i497.photobucket.com/albums/rr34 ... uff016.jpg

Another local place does the Wiliers luckily, so will be riding the Bianchi at Epic and hopefully sorting a ride on the Izoard at Ride 27-7 in Cirencester and then trying to decide which to buy !0

I wouldn't have had time; I arrived at Epic at 11am, rode two bikes (round trip from Epic to Bromyard 3 times = 42 miles of testing ), sessions on the turbo etc, didn't leave til after 6!Faster than a tent.......0 -
2pm fitting session and then a ride on the Bianchi and then hoping to ride the Wilier the day after if I can to give a good comparison.0

Celeste wins my vote.
If I won the lottery I'd buy a "red" Ferrari.
Some things are ment to be a certain colour? No?
And yes I do have a pair of white shoes to go with mine."I spend my petrol money on Bikes, Beer, Pizza, and Donuts "

That looks superb. 8)
Might have to change my vote...
Looks like they do the Arione with orange and red stripes to match as well.
Edit: That's the Aliante saddle.0 -
I have the Infinito in celeste and it is a darling, however I saw the blue at Epic and it is much better in real life so to speak, better than the red.
Red was my first choice until I saw in the flesh at Epic.
The orange is nice too though.....0 -

I have a blue Via Nirone 7 and actually enjoy the fact I meet very few in this colour.0

Thoughts on paying extra $ for a Bianchi Infinito Ultegra instead of Bianchi Via Nirone 7 with Ultegra parts?
I'm in NJ and the Via Nirone 7 with Ultegra comes to around $2,000. I think the Bianchi Infinito Ultegra is $2,999. Is it worth the extra $?
This is my first post here.0
