on-one 456 Middle ring question

I'm considering removal of the outer ring and running a larger middle...

Question is of those that know with a current 456 frame what size middle ring with a 4bolt 104bcd chainset can you go up to ? (a 38t would be ideal)

I called on-one and they said 32t max :? (it was 10 to 5 on a Friday afternoon :!: )

    what crank set are you running?

    as you could play with the chain line.

    Probably wrongly assuming it's pretty much the same as a normal inbred I'm running a 36 up front and 32 out back without any problems.
    Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.

    it's an FSA moto with external bearings and 170mm cranks
