Which frameset?

I am looking to build up a new bike to race on this year.
I have found a 2009 scott addict r2 frameset for £1300 and from the reviews I have read they are very light but also stiff which is what I am looking for. My girlfriends dad also has a scott addict r3 and he always raves about it.
I then came across the ribble scurro rs. The frame is about 200 grams more than the scott but I dont know how stiff it is or what it is like to ride. The frameset comes in just under £1000. So I was thinking with the money id save I could upgrade from Sram force to red, or I could get a quality set of wheels.
Has anyone used the scurro rs? or anyone got any thoughts on it?
