water bottle cage bolts

This is prob a really bad question but what type of bolts are water bottle cage bolts, M5 ? As I want to replace my stock ones with gold ones and know much about size standards etc. Any advice on any bike bolt sizing welcome.

Googling "bottle cage bolt size" gave "M5" as the first hit.
