  • send it back then and ask for a refund - wiggle have an excellent reputation why not take advantage of them as they have of you?
  • its a big bag and ive already chucked the packaging. I cant really be bothered to return it so i'll just shop elsewhere in future.

  • yup I find in everything I buy online (bikewise) always check wiggle and then check chain reaction frequently they are a lot cheaper.
  • they have also not delivered an order from last weekend which they say may be lost in the post but cant do anything for 10 working days. Maybe not their fault but Im the one suffering without my goodies. Chain Reaction from now on me thinks

Wiggle will price match, if you ask, then use their £5 off £50 voucher you get every time you change their newsletter preferences - this way I get Wiggle service and prices cheaper than everywhere else!

Yet when you purchased it I assume you were ok with the price? If you don't research tne competition you've only got yourself to blame.

I dont disagree with you at all and it was my fault i didnt look around. i was just shocked to see the difference in what the rrp is between the two retailers. you expect varations across retailers but this is a pretty large one. Whilst it was my fault i still have the right to discretion on where i shop in the future and it will not be wiggle.

What happens when you buy something from Chain Reaction and then discover it is cheaper at Wiggle? Will you go back to Wiggle or just not be able to buy anything anymore?

Buy one from Chain Reaction and send it back to Wiggle.

I usually find it the other way round CRC are more expensive than Wiggle - I guess it depends on what you are looking for.

Ribble & Merlin usually beat them both.

Dont see the logic in not buying from wiggle as the post office lost your parcel. I'm pretty sure the postie wont have a specific vendetta against wiggle ?

You can't dismiss one retailer because you made a poor choice on one occasion.

The lesson is to shop around, but I guess you know that now.

I like Chain Reaction, I also like Wiggle. One thing that annoys me with Chain Reaction though, they may sell an item, and have quite a good discount on it. But when you look at the size, or colour you want you can pretty much guarantee that will be standard price!

Usually when you shop online the same item will cost the same regardless of the size or colour.
  • I had a similar thing happen to me so I emailed them and sent links to the other retailer, they gave me vouchers to the value of the difference.

I will drop them a line and see if this is a possibility. Thanks for posting.

thanks to everyone else too. I know I was a dick for not looking round but its the huge difference in price that got m y goat. Lesson learned and a few good links to use in future.

Some of their prices are outrageous but some people must be happy to pay them.
Even £40 looks a rip-off for that bag.
