Tongue in cheek comment on Cole, not quite the same profile as Woods. None the less a classic American TV apology, this would never happen here eh.

    Woods is a prat for apologising.

    His going on tour with his nob is a private matter between him and his wife, he should have told the media to get stuffed.

    Why not just be honest and say "I'm sorry I got caught but if I hadn't been I'd still be quite happily cheating on the wife". Why apologise to golf and his fans? The only people due apologies are his family.

    It's all about the sponsors. They have $millions tied up in him and vice versa so it's good business sense to get the promo machine turning. There will be some tv appearances (Leno,Oprah) a book possibly, some photo shoot with the wife and possibly an expensive divorce then some successful/lucrative golf and everyone is happy again
