Lightweight White Tyres

I fancy some lightweight white tyres to go with my new SL3 Tarmac but the only ones I can see are old Rubino II's (They did an all white tyre which looks nice but none around anywhere).
They do a new Open Corse model with a White belt. Quite expensive though.
Schwalbe do the Ultremo with white belts but people seem to not rate them with the black nad of rubber coming away from the tyre.

Any other ideas?
Cheers

You want black tyres mate, white will just look dirty and crap after 5mins on the road.

White tyres look cr*p after one ride - stick with black. Black tyres are also more durable because the carbon black filler makes the rubber / elastomer polymer stronger.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

    Noted.
    Cheers.

Perhaps some nice all black tyres with white graphics on the sidewalls will look better then.
I currently run Attack/Force combo although I like the tyres I don't like the garish orangey/yellowy graphics....lol...they seem to be fading.

Schwalbe Ultremo look good, Black with White lettering, and very light too.

If you do want white, there is a review of the Contis on www.velodramatic.org Vittoria used to do the Corsa in white. You can put your tyres in the washing machine, they come up a treat but you don't have to spin them

I had the corsa's in white, but they looked rubbish once they'd been ridden.
  • Just how do you decide to put your bike tyres in the washing machine ?!

When they are dirty enough to warrant being washed

So if I put my creamy, yellowish Fortezza Tricomps in the wash with some Vanish Oxiflobblelobble, will they'll come out lillywhite again?

30'C, 40'C or something warmer? I believe Aerial promised lillywhites. Lets see if the f**kers actually deliver.

Maybe not white because obviously there will be a colour change due to ingrained dirt/oil etc and the action of light. But it surprising how clean they come out. My powder blue Pro2s looked relatively new.
Just try one eg the front as it's easier to get at and see what happens.40 deg is fine, altho' a dark/coloureds wash may be safer to prevent any dirt on the tyre marking white items
