Online route planning

I saw a post a while back to websites that allow you to plan your route online but I can't find the link from the search. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I uploaded a route I did this morning just to see what it was like. Normally I use mapometer which said that this morning's route had approx +/-500ft of elevation; ridewithgps had the same route as +/-1350ft!

I'm guessing that mapometer uses OS data, whilst ridewithgps uses the GPS data...?

Anyway, whatever it uses it sounds far more impressive
