Lovely, even with the tyres

IMHO nothing can beat the look of a Ti bike.

It's not the will to win that matters...everyone has that. It's the will to prepare to win that matters.

That's lovely - what's the sizing like on it? I'm trying to justify one of those frames myself, every time I see a pic like that it gets easier... only thing holding me back is a creaking overdraft & constant stock shortages! :)

The tyres have gone due to Schwalbe Stevlios being useless I did like the colour though. Currently has Maxxis Detonators in red to match the Planet X Ti Stix swewers.

Size is med, I am 5'8" and find it perfect although a small would be better if I were to want a race machine. I believe that these may be the last of the Lynsey/Planet X ti frames which IMO is a bit of shame.

Yeah, I think i'd be looking at a small - i'm around 5'8" too, but with short-ish legs & arms. That's a shame if Lynskey aren't gonna build 'em anymore - have you heard if they're switching to a far-east builder instead?

Ti bikes do look the same to a point as most come without paint because the Ti finish is so nice to look at and changes with the light and IMO is nicer than a painted finish.

Lynskey do paint their bikes if requested and Litespeed do a nice duo job on some of theirs but you could say that all painted bikes look the same too.

    What is your saddle height?

I'm a similar height to you, but have gone with a small with a longer stem and no spacers.

  • Hi Reddragon,

The saddle height is less than in the picture it now has an FSA carbon post with Fizik Aliante saddle (need updated photos) I chose the Med as I have a long back with short legs. It was borderline on small or med but I did not want a kyphotic inducing position so chose the med with a 90mm stem. Fits like a glove.

i knew someone would spot that. yes its true. the trouble is its obvious what it is to the potential thief. if it was painted they wouldnt know if it was ti that would be the main motivation.dont fancy painting carbon though.
