Cycle routes in Rotherham

I have just taken up mountain biking and I am looking for some routes and people to cycle with. I live in Wickersley and am looking to go riding early on either a Saturday or Sunday morning for up to 2 hours.

Are you wanting to start with gentle routes? Rother valley park and the trails would be a good starter to get used to the bike.

Not really.I grew up in that neck of the woods.We used to BMX in Silverwood and Listerdale woods but nowt hardcore.There's Wharnecliffe woods in Sheffield,Steetly Quarries in Donny or the Peak District

Through Roch Abbey woods round to travellers rest pub and back through Hooton Levit is a good trail if you follow all the woods round
