Can you provide a bit more details in your question, currently it is not clear enough what you want and why, so therefore you will get stupid answers. (see above)

The warmest gloves I have are black diamond guides, advertised good to -30, but I get warm hands so find them comfortable as low as -50.

I have never been lower than -50, so they might be good for more.
Why would I care about 150g of bike weight, I just ate 400g of cookies while reading this?
  • when i ride in cold weather my hnds get very cold and wet when it rains or snows. i have a pair of sealskinz gloves but they dont seem to work at all.

^ try them. get the size right and I find they're plenty warm enough. I end up taking them off for long spells when I overheat.
  • My Sealskinz work fine - a bit too hot sometimes! Stay dry, are good for snowball fights. My gripe with them is that they are a bit bulky and they can get a bit screwed up inside if you take em off wrong.

Fox Antifreeze are extremely good. Also, the inner lining is seperate so you can wear just the outers, with the liners in your bag in case the weather turns- very handy.

Do your hands get cold just when the gloves are wet or at all times?

  • I have a pair of Sealskinz Technical Mountain Bike gloves and they do the job, £29.95 from 0800sports. £35-£40 everywhere else.

They're the wind proof ones not water proof unfortunately. High On Bikes do the water proof ones for £18 or so, I got CRC to price match and that's what I ended up paying

In fact what they've done now (HoB) is put them up to 19.95 in the online shop and left them at 17.95 (free p&p) in the ebay shop. CRC will only match the online shop price.

They're better in the very wet, but not as good as the Foxes in the dry or in slightly wet conditions. I think the Fox is a better riding glove all round but it can't match the Sealskinz for when it's soaking.

The Foxes with the liners are warmer. I think I got down to -12 without windchill on some of my winter commutes? I did get cold, sure, but no wonder  The Sealskinz are good but not quite that good.

If you have real problems with cold hands- I have bad circulation frinstance- then there's the nuclear option, motorbike winter gloves. £40 or so for a set of Spada Force 2 WPs frinstance. But they're bulky and they do reduce feel. I can ride completely normally in mine but probably not everyone would be happy with them, I'm used to big gloves from the mosickle so they don't bother me at all.

for cold really wet weather, any goretex gloves/mitts or is it mittens. havent yet figured out the perfect cycling gloves for dry cold weather. imo the problem is cycling gloves are like saddles, i can never seem to find the right one until ive tried more than few.

I swear by my Spesh Radiants. Used them all through this winter on my daily commute and rides out, can't fault them. Think one of the things with gloves is it helps if your hands are warm when you put the gloves on. Would recommend them without hesitation

I will stick with my Sealskinz Technical Mountain Bike Glove which are comfy, windproof and waterproof. Go well with my Sealskinz socks.

They are quite bulky but I have to say I've had no issues whatsoever with braking or gear changing and during this winter, which has been pretty bad, they've been brill and kept my hands nice and toasty and dry too whenever its rained. HTH
