BC Licence Points

If a 4th Cat enters a combined 3/4th cat race (Hillingdon Saturday, for example), and he places 11th, but is the first 4th Cat home, will he get any licence points, or are they given for the first ten places irrespective of Cat? Ta.
PS not me, I'm far too old. Asking on behalf of my son.

First 10 irrespective of Cat in a 3/4 race. (Same in a E/1/2, 2/3/4 etc - subject to different points/placings depending on the level of race)
If he only wants to compete with 4ths then unfortunately he needs to find 4ths only races.0 -
Unfortunately they probably won't get the right first 10 anyway....they didn't get me winning the E12 even though I was 3 yards clear of the break...I have never ridden there since then which was 8 years ago. May have changed, but frankly I don't care after the attitude of the judge.
But yeah, the answer above is correct in that placings are just for the first 10 riders regardless of category.0 -

Hillingdon doesn't have a "judge", they're provided by the promoters, so it seems a little odd to be blaming a circuit for what a particular judge did you 8 years ago...Jibbering Sports Stuff: http://jibbering.com/sports/0 -
Thanks guys. He picked a 10th place in a 4th Cat race at Hillingdon couple of weeks back, (inevitable bunch sprint, and he can't sprint. A harder course would help, and some support), and is hungry for more.0

Ok then, the 'line judge' on the day refused to listen, even the rider in 2nd place who was given the win tried to help but the 'line judge' dismissed it without listening. The whole thing was poorly organised with the portacabin locked up until 10 minutes before the start because the guy with the key was late...I just chose to avoid driving there again because it seemed a bad experience all round. Like I said, it may have changed but it was a long way to go to come away feeling angry. I know things go wrong, but the result just topped off a bad experience for me.0 -

Hoghill is a bit far for him. Upavon is a better bet, but again it's usually 3/4th Cat races (I think)0

ahhh fond memories of that sprint... got 10 points out of it!
Good luck to your boy, seem to remember a young guy in the group racing well.0
