Will Garmin be replacing the Edge 705 in the near future?

Just asking, all technology is improved upon and made better, eventually. The Edge 705 has been around for a bit and I was wondering if Garmin have plans to bring out a new model?

It's not been around for that long, I wouldn't expect a new version anytime soon. The 705 was announced months and month before release...

They did, kinda. The 500. It's not a direct replacement as it doesn't have mapping (it does have turn by turn directions from uploaded courses). The design was driven by feedback from the Garmin Slipstream pro team and is more focussed on training/racing. I likes it :)

Well the 305 was out for 2 years or so before the 605 and 705 came out, so you would think it must be soon(ish). Though they did release an interim 500 model not long ago.

I certainly haven't heard any rumours of a new model anyway.
