hey, hope this is OK... .. just trying to raise awareness for my journey really, I'm cycling the Andes solo from Patagonia to Peru raising money for Shelterbox (http://www.shelterbox.org) who are presently doing amazing work in Haiti... Haiti didn't prompt the trip, it was an unfortunate coincidence that Haiti happened the day I arrived in Chile.
Right now I'm having a few days rest in Mendoza before setting off on Saturday on the next leg of my journey up to the north of Argentina, back into Chile and the Atacama Desert and into Bolivia.
I'm not asking for donations as such, just raising awareness of the amazing work that Shelterbox do, though I have a justgiving site, and you'd be quite welcome to make a contribution ;-) http://www.justgiving.com/mikesimagination that describes my reasons for supporting Shelterbox and also my blog which many folk know about anyway at http://mikesimagination.wordpress.com. If you have any suggestions or ideas for boosting awareness further I'd love to hear them, I think it will be hard to reach my target, being out here in Argentina I'm less 'visible' than 'Joe' doing a bungee jump :-)
Thanks for reading :-)
hasta luego!
Mike
