Seatpost with big setback

Hi all,
I've got a 2008 Giant FCR with the Giant carbon seatpost. From a rough measure I think it's got about 25mm of setback.
I've currently got my saddle right the way back on the rails so am thinking of getting a seatpost with more setback.
I've seen a 2008 FSA K-Force Light Carbon seatpost with 35mm setback for £70 but wondered if anyone has alternative suggestions? If they are a bit cheaper that would be cool!
I need either a 27.2 or 31.6, but I suppose I could buy a different shim too.
Ta!

I have an Easton EC90(it's about 5 years old). Don't believe it's made any more but it had
a claimed setback of 45mm, as I recall. Possibly there are some of these still floating about in one warehouse or another. Maybe a bike shop could find one for you.0 -
Why do you have the saddle set-back so far?
A possible alternative to look at if you're feeling cramped on the bike may be a longer handlebar stem. :?Cycling weakly0 -
Saddle setback is a function of femur length and flexibility whereas stem length i.e. reach is usually driven by your upper body dimensions - the two are independent variables. I run my saddles slammed back on the rails because it means I can use my quads more in the saddle - I have the FSA with 35mm setback. There is a Raceface MTB post with mega-setback too but it's pretty heavy.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

I tried a longer stem and was way too stretched out.
The seating position feels right, I've done quite a lot of small adjustment over the last few weeks, so I'm hoping this is the way to go!0 -

If you still need a bigger setback I'll send you my Easton EC90 for free(seriously). Well, you can send me the postage when you get it. Mind you it's not new and has lost a bit
of it's luster but it's not broken or defective. Not sure how exactly how to go about sending it but I'm sure I can figure it out. To be honest I've sort of lost faith in carbon posts
and have went back to aluminum. But hey, if you want it let me know.0 -
Thanks very much for the offer dennisn but I ordered the FSA post this morning, should get it tomorrow!
Wish I'd waited a bit now but I'm sure I'll enjoy the shiny new part anyway...
If I do need more setback I'll get back to you.0
