Easton Vista SL

Hi guys I have just changed a cassette on my Easton Vista SL and have noticed that there is a bit of wobble with the cassette, only about a 2 - 3mm side to side movement. Is this something to worry about if so is it easy fixed? I am hoping it's just a case of tightening a nut or two, but would rather get feed back from you guys before I jump in.
Thanks
Thanks

I had that once when I fitted one of the lower spec SRAM cassettes.
Turned out that the body that the cassettes rings were on was skewed slightly. There was a bit of play in the whole cassete body which meant it was skewed when I put it on.
Tightening up the lock ring didn't straighten it either.
I took it off and made sure the body was straight and square to the rings then put it back on, made sure it was still square and tightened it up. No wobble and still works fine today.Mike B

Thanks Mike, I will give that a go, I have just been out for a short test ride, and I am ghost shifting, and chain slip I think I may have to start from scratch. BTW the Cassette is the same CS 5600 that I took off just a new one.
Just a thought, my front ring is a 48 / 39 will that have any bearing?0 -
Well it ends up needing major surgery; my LBS has had to order bits in as the hub is shot! only 5K miles on a hub and it needs replacing wow. is that normal?0

When you say hub, do you mean the freehub body/cassette holder or the hub/axle assembly.
I'm guessing it's the bearings that have gone on one or both. I assume vistas are sealed bearings and 5000miles on them doesn't seem horrendously poor to me.
A lot would depend on what was involved in those 5000 miles, weather, road conditions, maintenance interval, your power/weight, riding style etc.
I'm sure some people will have got xxxxxx000 miles out of their bearings but then some on here only seem to get a few hundred
Strange how it coincided with changing your cassette though. :?Mike B

The free hub; most of the miles were done during the summer, I did start off 4st more than I am at the moment. I was having a few issues with the feel of the bike it was at that point I found that I needed a new chain, which involved a new cassette due to the mileage on the one chain, the hub may have been the issue all along as I have never been compeletly happy with the 105 system after about 3k miles. I was not aware that I needed to change my chain at about the 2.5k mile mark, oh well learning all the time.0
