Doing the long drive up to Glentress/Innerliethen at the weekend, concerned whether the snow has cleared and the trails are going to be rideable enough to be worth the long trip.

Does anyone know what the conditions are like at the moment?

Are Ae/Dalbeattie going to be better?

  • Ae, Dalbeattie and Mabie are all clear of snow and ice atm. Rode Dalbeattie Tues and riding Ae Thurs, mate rode @ weekend and posted on singletrackworld that it was OK.

Great, thanks. Let's hope the snow stays away for the weekend.

Was at Glentress on Monday afternoon and it was snowing for a bit. The top half of the red trail (Spooky woods climb abd descent) still had snow and ice then. A few people had ridden it though.

You can get updates on trail conditions here: http://www.7stanes.gov.uk/website/fores ... nfd-69afrj and ther's a link to the blog which has more detail on the various trails, usually inclusing pics so you can judge for yourself

  • A mate of mine and his bike are presently on the train from Exeter. We're planning on going to Glentress tomorrow afternoon.

I've not been to Innerliethen before. If the top half of the red route has loads of snow, will Innerliethen be very similar?

Also, the plan was to go to the Pentlands on Sat. Anyone else been there this week?

    Ta for any info.
