kids waterproofs

looking for waterproofs for my (7 & 9 year old boy & girl) kids as will be cycling with them to school every day soon. Only a ten minute ride but need to avoid a situation where they turn up at school wet or an argument ensues everytime its a we bit damp outside on a school morning.
I think the combination of mudguards, wellies and some sort of poncho would be best. I found a few ponchos on this site (http://www.staydry.co.uk/) but not great quality, would appreciate any ideas.

you can get reasonably priced waterproof trousers and jackets for kids from Milletts. They are ok you don't really need much breathability. I would think something closer fitting would be better on a bike. Poncho's and rain capes have reputation for being a bit of a mare in the wind and rain. The revolution will not be televised0

Agree totally on not much need for breathability on kids waterproofs. I got my 7 year old daughter a pair of waterproof trousers for about £15. They're great. She was coming in from the snow bone dry over christmas0

ended up buying 2 sets of bright orange-red raingear from lidl for 6.99 each, makes them look like twins which they find most amusing.vendor of bicycle baskets & other stuff www.tynebicycle.co.uk

I was going to suggest pants and windbreaker sorts then a waterproof overcoat. But buying clothes to appeal the tastes of kids is one thing to consider too. Colors and designs. Good choices.0
