Now that I've got a little dosh to spend, i thought i might buy myself some proper MTB gear, as currently the stuff I've got at them moment are just normal clothes and are rather uncomfortable. I am looking at getting some baggy half length shorts, a fitted (not super tight
) jersey and some gloves. But there are soo many to choose from, i have been looking on CRC, but half of the stuff on there doesn't even have a size guide. :?
For example i found this:http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=42775
Which i thought was pretty cool........but there is no bloody size guide! Although im between a medium and a small in normal tops, and usually around a 32" waist. So can anyone recommend some bits for me or tell me about the sizing manufacturers use? I am also looking for some reasonably cheap stuff too as i don't want to spend mases on clothes rather than components
Also are there any other shops worth looking at for clothes??
Thanks in advance!
Ed

It's worth checking the manufacturers' websites as they often have size guides0

Wiggle normalyl have a decent size guide on clothes too.
TBH, if you've not got a huge amount to spend then you can probably just get some 'non-cycling' shorts from sportsdirect/ mandmdirect and wear them with a pair of padded shorts underneath.
Jersey, I don't have a cycling specific one so can't comment.
Gloves, hard to size using a guide, best way is to try them on. With Wiggle (and I'm sure CRC) you can order two pairs and send back the one that doesn't fit. Cheeky, but they let you do it.0 -
I reckon a certain someone is going to move this post to the 'buying' sectionKona Tanuki Deluxe0

I've got Endura Hummvee shorts which are very baggy i'm a 34" waist and have the large so if i was you i would go for the medium. this short comes in a 3 quarter length aswell as the normal lenght. the inner liner short that comes with it is crap so just unclip it and use your own.0
